The moonlight painted the page, and she outlined it's silhouette with words written in the dialect of the stars. Nature's satellite hung like a burning white ember as nightfall caught it's rays. Eyes watched smoke pirouette gracefully through the frigid air, dangling and bursting: impalpable, intangible, and reckless. Layers of bare skin strangled a single heartbeat as she draped sloppy arms atop the shallow slope of her gaunt shoulders. Tears rested in the deflated undercarriage of skin beneath woeful eyes; caressing the lacquer like a pleasant visitor. Her muse was ten feet tall and jaded.
