She was now a ghost.
Death had come swiftly and unexpected, and when she was dying she thought she was meant to had lived a longer life. Even if it didn't seem so happy or satisfying on a daily basis, there were small details that made waking up and taking a shower worth all the hassle.

She was going to miss the soft feeling of her dog's fur. Little Captain was now without a mom to care for him like she had done. She thought of her mother's voice through the phone and she realized she was going to miss that simple gesture, part of her routine.

She sat then, at the bottom of the staircase of her small apartment, and sighed like only ghosts knew how to.
