The difference between you and I is that you conduct yourself as someone who is busy all the time, caught up in the everyday rush, and have times that you are "free", whereas I am the one who is free, and have times that I am "busy". So refrain from asking "When are you free?", and start asking "When are you busy?" so as not to assume people are doing things all the time.
