TIME

"Blurred frames crowd my view
Yet I’m sheltered from the glare.
How is this so?
Why,
it’s time.

He will not allow a moment more.
Mere blips on his infinitive reel
And yet,
He is witness to every stir.

He passes by without a single care.
Once a close companion,
Now a distant and
desolating echo.

He doesn’t falter or linger
Nor allow the bond to simmer.
He is a selfish lover,
Abandoning a loyal mate.

Time will not savor the passion,
He does not revoke spiteful words
Or prematurely defy the dread

He simply takes note.
Saving a glimpse,
For that solemn rainy day.

But know,
right to your core.
That moment,
The one that time stole,
It will always be.

One day he will emerge,
To taunt and reminisce
However,
Do not dismay,
Nor rejoice.

For this too shall pass.
Painfully faster
Or achingly slower,
than
the last Time
and
the Time before.

For Time, will never allow.
Me and you.
You and I.
Us.
To simply be."
